| Jim W. Arey Jim Arey CLINTON — Jim W. Arey, 49, of Clinton, died Wednesday at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. Burial was at Cottonwood Cemetery in rural Fulton, Ill. Pallbearers were Owen Meyer, Tim Richardson, Patrick Jones, Bryan Stolts, Nick Stolts and Michael Stolts. He was born May 16, 1957, in Iowa City to Charles and Donna Jamison Jones. He married Sue Leopold on Nov. 26, 1976, in Clinton. He was employed at Collis Co. in Clinton. He and his wife also owned and operated the Almont Tap. He was a member of ABATE 21, the Clinton Bowling Association and the 700 Club. Survivors include his wife; three children, Chuck Arey and his fiancé Lindsay Barnhart of Clinton, Kristine Arey of Clinton and Ryan Arey of Clinton; his father, Charles Jones of Clinton; two sisters, Theresa (Nate) Ullrich of Clinton and Hope Gordon of Davenport; and three brothers, Robert (Nancy) Jamison of Clinton, Ronald Jones of Decatur, Ill., and William (Nikki) Jones of Rock Island, Ill. He was preceded in death by his mother, grandparents and two uncles. Death date: March 14, 2007 |
